We cannot wait to see you this Sunday!
There are less than three weeks until show night and the dance production team along with our choreographers and performers are hard at work. Less than three weeks everyone!
We've got a flash mob as well as a pizza party/movie night coming up in a few days to spread the word about our performance.
We had a chance to interview one of our beautiful (Inter)section choreographers this week- Aleah Escobedo. A Light in the Darkness is made up of six dancers, including Aleah herself. When asked about her inspiration for this piece, this is what she had to say.
"This piece is about finding people who really care about you when you're feeling lost and lonely. I went through some things over the summer that left me not knowing what to do, but I eventually found people who I could trust and who had my best intentions in mind. A Light in the Darkness is all about cutting the toxic-ness out of life and finding the happiness instead."
Catch Aleah, as well as our other talented choreographers who make up (Inter)section, showing their work on November 4th at 6 pm. We are all so delighted that we get to share this experience with you.
This weekend, MSU’s dance department had the opportunity to partner with Coors Field to volunteer at three Rockies baseball games. We sold raffle tickets to fundraise for our production, and even with the chilly weather, it was a ball. We’re all working so hard to make this show one to remember. We are so lucky to have all of these chances to raise money for (Inter)section!
Thanks a million to all of our generous donors so far. You are helping to make our production become a reality. We appreciate it.
