The Denver Project for Humanistic Inquiry, or D-Phi, aims to enrich Denver’s intellectual and cultural life through programs designed to reframe our perspectives, challenge our assumptions and stimulate dialogue about human thought, history, science, art and culture. D-Phi organizes roundtable discussions, art exhibits, film screenings, theatrical performances and lectures centered on major themes, issues or questions of abiding human concern. We host both local and international experts, artists and some of the “greatest minds of our time.”

Voices for the Voiceless: The Question of Advocacy

In a world where members of many communities have never met one another, where movements struggle to address intersectionality and ethics must wrestle with efficiency--When is it our place to speak for others and what assumptions are made when we do? Join us for a conversation on the themes of social responsibility and the complicated nature of advocacy on Auraria Campus this April.

The Esquire Theatre is glad to have us back for this year's film series, which runs May 3 - June 21. D-Phi will have a speaker at each event to lead a discussion about the source materials and the historical context of the films after each showing:
